This deliverable discusses how EU Mediterranean countries integrate EGD objectives in their MSPs, using a new sector-based approach. The assessment applied a common analytical framework across seven EU Mediterranean countries (Cyprus, France, Greece, Italy, Malta, Slovenia and Spain).

This deliverable presents 11 national actions developed in France, Greece, Italy and Spain to strengthen the integration of European Green Deal objectives into Maritime Spatial Planning. The actions cover key Mediterranean sectors, including fisheries, aquaculture, offshore renewable energy and nature protection. Together, they provide practical examples, methodological approaches and transferable lessons to support greener and more coherent MSP processes.

This deliverable explores how European Green Deal principles can be extended to Maritime Spatial Planning and sea management in non-EU Mediterranean countries. It focuses on two pilot cases: sustainable aquaculture and AZA planning in Algeria, and the integration of small-scale and recreational fisheries in Albania. The report identifies governance needs, spatial challenges and policy recommendations to support more sustainable and inclusive maritime planning.
