MEDIGREEN at the Ocean Science Meeting 2026: Sharing Mediterranean Perspectives on MSP and the Blue Economy

0

Glasgow– 23-27 February 2026

MEDIGREEN is participating in the Ocean Science Meeting 2026 in Glasgow, contributing to one of the most important international gatherings for ocean science, policy, and practice. The conference brings together an outstanding community of scientists, practitioners, policymakers, and communicators, offering a programme rich in cutting-edge research, interdisciplinary dialogue, and innovative approaches to ocean challenges.

MEDIGREEN will contribute through both a poster presentation and an oral presentation, showcasing results from its communication activities on Maritime Spatial Planning (MSP) and the Sustainable Blue Economy across EU and non-EU Mediterranean shores. The contributions highlight how design-driven and culturally informed communication tools can support alignment, dialogue, and shared understanding between the northern and southern Mediterranean.

The poster session provides an opportunity to explore MEDIGREEN’s methods and outputs in detail and to engage in informal exchanges with conference participants. The oral presentation, delivered within a thematic session on ecological–anthropogenic interactions in coastal communities, places these results in a broader scientific and policy context, linking MSP, maritime heritage, and contemporary ocean governance.

MEDIGREEN’s presence at OSM 2026 reflects the project’s commitment to international knowledge exchange and to connecting Mediterranean experiences with global ocean science and policy debates.
